The Minister of Health urges citizens to continue to prevent the spread of COVID-19

RNK Phnom Penh, April, 28th, 2020-

H.E Prof. Mam Bunheng urged people to continue to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Cambodia.

The Minister made the remarks at a press conference on the current situation of COVID-19 on Monday in Phnom Penh.

The Minister said that citizens seem to begin free movement and their routine life without taking precautions.

The Ministry of Health would like to appeal to the people to not misunderstand that Cambodia is completely out of the reach of the COVID-19 virus and to continue to prevent the spread of this deadly virus.

The Minister continued to say that the COVID-19 virus has been with us for some time and it is hard to predict, Therefore, the Minister would like to remind all people to remain vigilant and it is now the time for us to be united without discrimination, added the Minister.

He also said that although in the past two weeks in Cambodia, there were no new case, but neighboring countries and the world are still suffering from this epidemic.

As of Tuesday morning the Kingdom has confirmed 122 cases of Covid-19, 119 recovered in total, according to the Ministry of Health’s news release.
