Hungary announces its stance to continue supporting Cambodia against the EBA withdrawal

The Hungary President, H.E Janos Ader said that the Hungarian Government as a European Union member would continue supporting Cambodia and rejected the withdrawal of the preferential tax system (EBA) from Cambodia.
H.E Janos Ader ‘s announcement was made at a meeting with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom
of Cambodia on Tuesday.
H.E Kao Kim Hourn, Minister attached to the Prime Minister said after the meeting between Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Hungary President, H.E Janos Ader that Samdech Techo Hun Sen asked Hungary’s President to continue assisting Cambodia with the EBA issue, but Samdech Techo Hun Sen stressed that the decision is up to the EU, which would make a fair decision for Cambodia.
In reply, the Hungarian President, H.E Janos Ader said that Cambodia is the Hungary‘s alliance. The Hungarian government has voted against EBA withdrawal from Cambodia, saying that the government of Hungary would continue to support Cambodia on the EBA issue.
