Cambodia Welcomes 4.3 Million Foreign Visitors in First Nine Months

Kingdom of Wonder received about 4.3 million international holidaymakers for the first nine months of 2018 – suggesting roughly 12 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
The positive figure was reflected in a recent update shared by the Ministry of Tourism, underlining that tourists from China, around 1.4 million, outnumbered the rest of the countries with visitors to Cambodia.
The subsequent nationals visiting Cambodia the most include Vietnamese, Lao, Thai, South Korean, Americans (U.S.A), Japanese, Malaysian, French and British.
The report also indicated that ASEAN and East Asia are highly potential regions with visitors to Cambodia.
Of the total number of visitors to Cambodia for the first three quarters of this year, it continued, 2.9 million came by airplane, while the rest came via land and water transports.
With 5.6 million international visitors to the Kingdom last year, Cambodia has set to attract at least 6.2 million foreign tourists for 2018.
