Cambodian PM Returning Home from 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits

AKP Phnom Penh, November 16, 2018 —

The high-level Cambodian delegation led by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen is returning home this morning after participating in the 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Singapore since Nov. 13.

“In the morning of Nov. 16, I will lead the delegation to return to Cambodia after attending the 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits for three days (Nov. 13-15) in Singapore. For me, there is no word of exhaustion or difficulty. I’m happy for having served the nation and the compatriots so that they live with happiness and in peace,” said the Cambodian Premier in a Facebook post a few hours ago.

“Resilient and Innovative ASEAN” is the topic of the 33rd ASEAN Summit wrapped up with positive outcomes for both Cambodia and the rest of ASEAN, he said, adding that a country cannot achieve major achievements by itself, but cooperation is needed in solving challenges, as well as in increasing trade relations, investment, economy, along with technology, human resource training, natural resource protection, environmental protection, and terrorism prevention in order to strengthen peace for mutual benefits and prosperity for the whole nation.

In 2019, he continued, Thailand will host the 34th ASEAN Summit.

According to Prime Minister, the Cambodian delegation will arrive Phnom Penh at around 11:00 am.
