Cambodian PM To Attend 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Singapore Next Week
AKP Phnom Penh, November 10, 2018 —
Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia will lead a high-level delegation to attend the 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Singapore, at the invitation of H.E. Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation AKP received this morning, the upcoming 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits will be held from Nov. 13 to 15 under the theme “Resilient and Innovative ASEAN”.
During his stay in Singapore,Samdech Techo Prime Minister is expected to attend various summits, including the 33rd ASEAN Summit / Working Dinner for the ASEAN Leaders; ASEAN-Australia Informal Breakfast Summit; 21st ASEAN-China Summit; 20th ASEAN-ROK Summit; 3rd ASEAN-Russia Summit; 21st ASEAN-Japan Summit; ASEAN-India Informal Breakfast Summit; 6th ASEAN-U.S. Summit; 21st ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Summit; 13th East Asia Summit; East Asia Summit (EAS) Lunch (Retreat); and 2nd Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Leaders’ Meeting.
The Cambodian Premier will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn; Minister of Commerce H.E. Pan Sorasak; Minister of Education, Youth and Sports H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron; as well as a number of senior government officials and business leaders from Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.
On the sidelines of the Summits, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will take part in many other meetings and functions such as ASEAN Business Advisory Council; Working lunch hosted by H.E. Lee Hsien Loong for ASEAN Leaders; and Gala Dinner hosted by the ASEAN Chair for ASEAN Leaders.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister is also expected to have some bilateral meetings with other heads of delegations.
In preparation for the 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn will attend the 18th ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC) Council Meeting and the 22nd ASEAN Coordinating Council (ACC) Meeting which will be held prior to these Summits.
