Cambodian PM Returns Home from Foreign Mission

AKP Phnom Penh, October 25, 2018 —

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and his high-level delegation arrived in Phnom Penh this morning after concluding a week-long trip in Europe.

They were welcomed upon their arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport by Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and many other senior government officials.

“Today, I’ll return to our homeland after the busy schedule for more than a week. Beside the meeting on the draft budget law for 2019 that I have to chair on Friday, I’m very sure that there are many documents waiting for my signature. Those are the debts I need to pay back after my absence from the country […], but I’m satisfied with these duties because they are the national benefits. I was so happy to meet with Cambodian people and students living and learning in Europe, including my granddaughter,” said the Premier in a Facebook post on Oct. 24.

During his trip in Europe, Samdech Techo Hun Sen attended the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit, in Brussels, Belgium on Oct. 18-19, then paid an official visit to Turkey on Oct. 20-22, and participated in the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) 2018 World Investment Forum (WIF) on Oct. 22-24.

In addition, he held many bilateral meetings and discussions with his foreign counterparts, and heads of different international organisations.
