A group of 19 Cambodian university or graduate school students who are studying technology and a supervisor are going to visit Japan next week, announced the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia in a press release AKP received this morning.
The visit will take place from Oct. 29 to Nov. 6, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan under the JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth) 2018, it pointed out.
The participants will visit a museum in Tokyo which exhibits cutting-edge technology and a food processor company in Shizuoka prefecture to learn the manufacturing and technology of Japan, said the same source, adding that they will also have a discussion with university students and visit historical landmarks.
According to the press release, the JENESYS aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the people of Japan and participating countries and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation. Through the programme, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited more than 2,000 Cambodian youths since 2007.
It is expected that the participants will deepen their understanding of Japan and after coming back, share their experience widely with the people in Cambodia.
