JETRO CEO Praises Cambodia’s Investment Environment

President and CEO of Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) Mr. Hiroyuki Ishige has spoken highly of the investment environment in Cambodia.
Mr. Hiroyuki Ishige made the appreciation while paying a courtesy visit to Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in Tokyo this morning, during the latter’s stay in Japan for the 10th Mekong-Japan Summit, reported the National Television of Kampuchea (TVK).
Cambodia has good environment investment and there is no discrimination between local and foreign enterprises, underlined the JETRO CEO who informed Samdech Techo Hun Sen of a seminar organised by JETRO in the framework of 10th Mekong-Japan Summit, during which the Cambodian Premier will deliver his keynote remarks focusing on attracting Japanese investors to do business in the Mekong region.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen lauded the key contribution of JETRO in encouraging Japanese investors to Cambodia.
The direct flight between both countries operated by All Nippon Airways (ANA) will bring more Japanese investors and tourists to Cambodia, said Samdech Techo Hun Sen, affirming that the Royal Government of Cambodia has been doing its best to facilitate Japanese investments in the country.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister also mentioned about the creation of special forum between the Council for the development of Cambodia and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia without waiting for the Government-Private Sector Forum.
According to the Prime Minister, there are now more than 200 companies doing business in Cambodia, up from only 20 companies before.
