AmCham Cambodia To Host a Two-day Trade Event to Promote Agriculture Sector

The American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AmCham Cambodia), in coordination with the U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh, will host a trade event focused on Cambodia’s rapidly evolving agriculture sector, “Business Opportunities in Cambodia’s Agriculture Sector” next week.


This two-day trade event will take place n Phnom Penh’s Rosewood Hotel on Sept. 26-27, pointed out a press release from U.S. Embassy.


The objective of this event is to help U.S. companies gain a deeper understanding of the sector, establish Cambodian contacts, and identify potential trade and investment partners, it added.


Sixteen (16) delegates will feature some of America’s leading companies, including 3M, Absolute Packaging and Automation, Cargill, Humate USA, Hydro-Thermal Corporation, Intervet, John Deere, and Syngenta, said the press release, indicating that it will also involve companies within Southeast Asia who distribute leading American brands.


According to the same source, over the course of two days, delegation members will learn about different sectors with Cambodian agriculture – including rice, feed and livestock, and horticulture – network with the local business community and visit local production facilities.  In addition, they will meet with senior officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
