Cambodian PM To Attend 15th China-ASEAN Expo Next Week

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high-level delegation to attend the 15th China-ASEAN Expo from Sept. 10 to 12, 2018 in Nanning city, Guangxi province, at the invitation of the Government of the People’s Republic of China.
According to the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s press release AKP received this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will be accompanied by H.E. Hor Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, and H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism as well as other dignitaries of the Royal Government and business people of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.
The 15th China-ASEAN Expo to be held under the theme “Jointly Building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and the China-ASEAN Community of Innovation” will showcase various products from ASEAN and China and promote cooperation of private sector in business, trade, investment and tourism.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen will deliver his key remarks at the opening ceremony of the 15th China-ASEAN Expo with an aim to promote trade and investment between ASEAN and China as well to attract potential Chinese investors and tourists to the ASEAN region.
As Cambodia is the Country of Honour for this year’s event, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and H.E. Han Zheng, Vice Premier of China, will preside over the ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate the national pavilion of Cambodia as well as visit Cambodia’s trade exhibition hall.
During his stay in China, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will meet with some Chinese dignitaries and receive separate courtesy calls by the leaders of Guangxi province and other important Chinese business leaders, Chinese company CEOs and grant an interview to the Chinese media.
China-ASEAN Expo is held annually with the main purpose of further deepening and expanding trade and business opportunity to achieve the target of US$1 trillion and US$150 billion, from China to ASEAN and from ASEAN to China respectively, by 2020.
