Cambodia Expects More Rains

Impact of the 16th storm called “Bebinca” resulted by the low pressure in the China’s southern coastal area will bring more rains to parts of Cambodia.


The notification was made yesterday by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, adding that the affects will happen to Cambodia on Aug. 17-18.


The weather trend, it continued, will also bring more water to the Mekong River in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.


The ministry’s notification also called for extra attention of residents as well as fishing communities in Cambodia’s coastal provinces such as Koh Kong and Preah Sihanouk.


The rainfalls will also be from medium to heavy in the northeast highland areas, and from less to medium in Phnom Penh capital and other provinces, it highlighted.
