Over 1.54 Million Foreigners Visit Angkor Resort in First Seven Months of 2018

During the first seven months of 2018, more than 1.54 million foreign tourists visited the Angkor Archaeological Park, up almost 9 percent compared to the same period of 2017.
The figures were released recently by the Angkor Enterprise, a state-owned institution in charge of Angkor income management, adding that about US$69.66 million income was made from the park’s entrance ticket sales, up about 15 percent.
Of the total income, over US$3 million was donated to Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals, it continued.
In July alone, the entrance tickets were sold to 185,878 foreign tourists – an increase of nearly 2 percent – generating approximately US$8.2 million, and US$370,000 of the amount was used to support the children’s hospital.
