Cambodia’s Road Infrastructure Extended in Past Five Years

Cambodia’s road network has been now extended to approximately 16,292 kilometres long, up from only 12,239 kilometres five years ago, according to the brief report on the Royal Government of Cambodia’s major achievements between 2013 and 2017.

The level 1 national roads were expanded from 2,243 kilometres in 2013 to 2,254 kilometres in 2017, level 2 national roads from 3,378 to 5,007 kilometres, and provincial roads from 6,617 to 9,031 kilometres, it added.

Besides, thousands of kilometres of rural roads have been also renovated and constructed under the leadership of the fifth-mandate Royal Government of Cambodia.

Up to now, there are in total over 4.16 million registered vehicles, including 3.56 million motorbikes, 387,902 cars, and 219,419 trucks.
