Cambodia’s Air Transportation in Dramatic Progress

Cambodia’s civil aviation and air transportation under the leadership of the fifth-mandate Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) have seen a noticeable progress, according to the brief report on the RGC’s major achievements from 2013 to 2017.
Flight movements have remarkably increased during this five-year period, said the report, pointing out that in 2013, there were only 5,295 domestic flights, 23,412 international fights, and 40,258 transit flights, but in 2017, the figures rose to 11,323, 33,731 and 59,098 for domestic, international and transit flights, respectively.
In terms of the income, some US$32.55 million were generated in 2017, up from US$15.94 million in 2013, it added.
Currently, seven national airlines and 37 international airlines are operating in Cambodia.
