AKP Phnom Penh, July 12, 2018 —

Phnom Penh International Airport sees noticeable increase of flight movements this year, according to its General Manager Mrs. Chloé Lapeyre.

The general manager shared the airport’s performance during recent launch of Cambodia Airway’s domestic flight back and forth from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and Preah Sinanouk provinces.

She estimated an increase of 30 percent of number of air travelers this year comparing to last year.

According to the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, Cambodia currently has three international airports in operation serving about 8 million travelers and delivering 60 billion tons of commodities for 2017 alone.

Its record is consistent with that mentioned by Mrs. Chloé Lapeyre about the increase of flight movements of Phnom Penh International Airport – with an average of 55 flights per day or 1,650 flights per month.

By the first half of 2018, there are 10 domestic and 40 international airline companies working at the airports of Cambodia.
